Our April Beer Festival was a lot of fun! We welcomed many visitors and real ale enthusiasts from across the world to sample some of the nations finest cask brews. Cider also played its part and the beautiful sunshine on Friday and Saturday really lifted the whole event. We had bands such as The Penniless Tenants, Splintered Ukes and Vesper who aided in getting those dancing shoes out!
We welcomed Dough Bros who served up some mighty fine pizzas along with Clara's Catering who offered delicious burgers, hot dogs, chips and desserts. The gin bar in the gardens was also a hit with the sun's rays!
A big thank you must go to our sponsors Tommy Shea and the team at Liverpool Brewing for providing us with a range of ales unparalleled in the city. Their beers are always varied and excellent, which is why you will find them on our bar during the summer.
We know from the empty casks at the end of the festival that our customers enjoyed them as much as we did!
Not only was the Beer Festival a great way to meet new faces, see familiar faces and enjoy the sun with great ales, ciders and music but Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation managed to raise an incredible £1,098 for their charity. This large donations is going to help so many vulnerable people who have been impacted by this dreadful disease.
Thank you to all who attended and to all our volunteers and venue staff who helped make this event a success.

I read the post about the Bombed Out Church Beer Festival 2023 and it sounds like such a fun event in a really cool old church ruin in Liverpool with beers, ciders, food and music all wrapped into one weekend vibe. I remember when I joined a group of friends for a similar city festival, and we talked about our online course takers experiences while sipping cider and laughing about our assignments, which felt strangely relaxing. It made me think how simple moments like that stick with you and make city events memorable.
