Wolf is a short (20 minute) play that takes place on Christmas Day 1914 in a British army trench on the Western Front. An unofficial, spontaneous truce has been called and the British and German soldiers are playing football against each other in No-Man’s Land.

Terry, a teenage soldier from Liverpool, returns to the trench after having been sent off early in the match, and he is joined shortly afterwards by a German soldier.

The play explores the difficulties of masculinity amidst the horrors of war, and the problems that faced soldiers who no longer knew why they were fighting.
