Community Stalls - Live Performances - Family Workshops - Photography Exhibition 


As the heart of the Community Launch of the Liverpool European Festival 2025, St Luke’s Bombed Out Church will burst into life with music, movement & colour in a vibrant celebration of Europe’s rich cultural heritage.


From midday, the iconic venue will host a lively & family-friendly programme featuring cultural stalls, exhibitions, & performances representing communities from across Europe - including Italy, Poland, Romania, Greece, Ukraine, the Nordic countries & many more.


Visitors can browse stalls from a range of European diaspora communities who made Liverpool their home: activities include traditional crafts, quizzes, singing, displays, posters & a whole lot of fun.


At 12pm the vibrant Ukrainian dance ensemble "Radist" will open the event & launch the festival in fabulous style.


There will be European dance, performances & music from 12pm onwards including a Greek dance workshop with The Ntirintachtas & Greek singer Andrea Brown.


The Lord Mayor will address the festival at 1pm.


The Family Corner will be hosting free activities for all ages. No need to book ahead.


🕚 12pm until 2pm - Circus skills workshops

🕚 2pm until 4pm - Multilingual fun such as singing songs & learning new words in European languages


Visitors will also be invited to explore a striking photographic exhibition inside the church, capturing the everyday lives, traditions & contributions of Liverpool’s European communities. Through a compelling mix of portraits, candid scenes & cultural moments, the display highlights the deep-rooted presence & lasting impact of European heritage in the city. 


Open to all, this vibrant event offers a unique opportunity to experience Europe’s diverse cultures - right in the heart of Liverpool.


🍻 Our Garden Bar & Café will be open from 12pm all day long!


Furry friends on leads are welcome between 12pm & 4pm.
