Is Skate Hire included in the cost of my ticket? Yes!
Can I bring my own skates? Skate hire is included in the ticket price, your own skates are not permitted.
What should I wear? We recommend wrapping up in warm, outdoor clothing and please wear gloves. As skates can get wet, it would be a good idea to bring a change of socks for after your session. Our outdoor skate rink is subject to the elements and due to rain, unseasonably warm weather, high winds or a combination of these weather conditions, the surface of the ice rink can develop a layer of water. It is not unsafe to skate on a wet rink, but if you fall you can get wet, so wearing gloves is important, not only to help with the cold, but also to aid traction on the ice when getting up.
Can I bring my bag on the ice? Bags of any description are not allowed on the ice. We recommend that you only bring essentials with you. Please do not bring any large baggage or valuable items to the ice rink, as storage space is limited.
If the weather is poor, will I be able to skate? In the unlikely event that extreme weather conditions force us to close the rink, before your session, we’ll arrange for you to book into an alternative session, subject to availability. If a future slot isn’t available, then a refund will be given.
Is there a spectator area? Spectators will be able to view the rink and the skaters from a slightly raised area, some seating will be available. Spectating is free, please book your free space in advance. Please email hello@slboc.com in advance for accessibility requirements.
Can I take photos on the ice? Spectators are able to take pictures of friends and family while they are on the ice. For safety reasons, skaters cannot take pictures whilst on the ice.
Can I park at the ice rink? There is no parking available at the venue but there’s paid for road parking around the venue or there’s multi storey car parks nearby such as ParkBee, Central Village, 1 Heathfield St, Liverpool L1 4AT
Is there somewhere to buy food and drinks? Yes, there will be drinks and snacks available throughout your skate session.
Are there toilets? Yes, we have portable toilets available, including one access toilet.
