VisitEngland's Awards for Excellence 2023 Gold Award Winners: Resilience and Innovation.

We are over the moon to have won Gold at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2023 for 'Resilience and Innovation'.

When visitor's donations ceased during the 2020 pandemic, we had to look at new ways to keep the venue thriving and therefore transformed ourselves into one of Liverpool's biggest outdoor Garden Bar & Cafe's along with reigniting the inside of the church walls as a consistent outdoor event destination, featuring theatre, comedy, art installations, music, weddings and so much more.

Kate, one of our Director's had an amazing time celebrating at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London (The Making of Harry Potter), celebrating alongside Liverpool businesses Sunnyside Guest House, Titanic Hotel Liverpool and all the other UK tourism industry’s brightest stars on the 7th of June.

From our very first official event here at the church back in 2017 to receiving this Gold award for ‘Resilience & Innovation’. We are extremely proud of the growth & progression our small team has made over the past few years, along with our amazing volunteers & all of those who visit & support us.

The judges commented 'in responding to circumstances in such an innovative way, they've created a new audience and refreshed a Liverpool icon'.
