The Venue Coordinator is essential in ensuring the smooth running of events at St Luke’s Bombed Out Church. You'll represent the venue's interest in the programming and planning of events, taking responsibility and ownership of initial enquiries right through to venue managing on event days and carrying out the post-event reconciliation.


St Luke’s Bombed Out Church is an exciting, unique and challenging venue to operate in which attracts global talent, world-famous television and award-winning outdoor theatre shows. 


We expect applicants to already have some experience in managing events or venues at a professional level but we are committed to the training and development of our team and continue to invest in our team’s personal development with accredited courses and on the job training. 

Salary: 18k-20k (DOE)


Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (inclusive of weekends and evenings)

Location: St Luke’s Bombed Out Church and remote working

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • represent the venue when liaising with clients to find out their event requirements (including capacity, venue power, staging, furniture, timings)

  • produce detailed venue event management plans (including timelines, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, box office and budgets)

  • manage long term and new supplier relationships

  • liaise with clients and ticketing services to promote events and monitor ticket sales

  • coordinate all printed materials for events (marketing, tickets etc)

  • represent the venue on the day of the event to coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot unexpected issues

  • oversee the de-rig of events and clear the venue efficiently

  • manage a team of staff full time and freelance, giving full pre-show briefings to stewards and SIA badged staff.

  • ensure that the venue is compliant with all insurance, legal, health and safety obligations

  • produce post-event evaluation to inform future events

  • research opportunities for new clients and events

  • professional event/venue management experience

  • IT skills - CAD (2D/3D), Photoshop, Illustrator 

  • knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
